I have an 18 year old daughter and I don't want her to go through the same struggle with her own children that she has seen us go through with her brother.
What never ceases to amaze me is the medical establishment's continual denigration of Dr. Andrew Wakefield. He's their convenient nemesis. If it hadn't been for Wakefield, no one would link autism to vaccines.
Here a vaccine expert from Johns Hopkins blames Wakefield for the controversy while totally misrepresenting what he did.
The truth is mainstream medicine will never recognize autism as a problem That's the whole purpose of Neurodiversity Week and April, Autism Acceptance Month.
Autism is now a fact of life for children of the 21st century. Learn to live with it, no matter what the rates climbs to.
