It's confusing to see and hear the left launch an assault on people who want to Make America Healthy Again. This post from the Autism Tribune draws on words written 17 years ago to call time on sticking your head in the sandpit of neurodiversity and shouting 'misinformation' at the enemy. It reflects on the dangers of progressive politics when it comes to the health of our kids.
I work in cannabis medicine here in the US and such products can be a god-send for ASD folks. CBD products are worth trying for the gut and mood issues - and, sleep.
it absolutely kills me how these hysterical, screeching pseudo left-wing pols can have the audacity to claim to be 'on the side' of the autism community when they don't even know who/what the REAL autism community IS! oh dear, people with autism are insulted! news flash, people! MY son with autism doesn't understand what 'insult' even means!
all these pols are doing is participating in a vast, political 'pile on' against anything/everything that RFK jr & his team, are attempting to do, which is bringing sanity back into the public conversation. if they all would rather stay in the 'world according to Big Pharma', let 'em. the rest of us will struggle to move forward, like we always have. but yeah, some sanity would be more than welcome.
Here's something that has changed since you first wrote this: a Google search no longer reveals the things you listed here. The censorship is almost complete; you can’t find any of these things unless you already know they exist, and even then, maybe not.
"Spend a few hours on Google and you discover the common link to the gut, you read about parents who have implemented gluten and diary-free diets with dramatic effects, and you hear about the gains that are made by detoxification."
Good spot. I hadn't thought about that. It would be interesting to hear what people new to the world of severe autism think - is it hard to find information?
There has been an explosion of research into all the things us parents talk about - gut, metabolic disorders, immunity etc
Using Google scholar is a great way to find things albeit that the paper abstracts can be v hard to digest without a dictionary.
the substack called Popular Rationalism (OG in the community, Dr James Lyons-Weiler) has offered webinars for learning to read & comprehend research papers. usually just the abstracts can be helpful though. I always skip to the bottom to look at funding and conflicts ;)
It is sad that so little has changed in 17 years but, as you know only too well, you are kicking against the establishment. You are simply not allowed to do that. As you wrote, it is all for the "greater good". We plebeians should just know our place and keep quiet, said the rulers!!

Stand strong. Proud of what you are doing.

The partisan polarisation certainly seems to trump everything (pun intended!)
and such an easy pun it is! hand that one to you on a silver platter ;)

definitely need to advise everyone to use alternative browsers like Brave and even then, keep paging down.
my mentor gives the hint to start searches with "natural treatment of..."

Keep up the good work.
All for 'greater greed' more like.
